Where to ride from Dinard
Clair de Lune promenade and the beaches — 5 km, easy
The Dinard classic. The promenade follows the coast between Plage du Prieuré and Plage de l'Écluse, with the Belle Époque villas behind. Flat, short, fine with children. Note that the promenade itself is pedestrian in high season, so you ride the streets alongside it.
Dinard to Saint-Lunaire to Saint-Briac — 14 km, easy to moderate
West along the coast, linking beach after beach and headland after headland. A few short climbs between the coves. It is the prettiest half-day out of Dinard and a city bike handles it comfortably.
Dinard to Dinan on the greenway — 28 km, moderate
The greenway runs up the Rance estuary to the medieval town of Dinan, car-free for most of its length. This is where an electric bike genuinely pays off, especially on the way back. Details in our guide to Dinard, Cancale and Dinan by bike.
Dinard to Saint-Malo — 10 min by Bus de Mer

Can you cycle to Saint-Malo from Dinard?+
Yes. The quickest way is the Bus de Mer ferry, which crosses the Rance in 10 minutes and takes bikes. By road, allow roughly 14 kilometres via the Rance tidal barrage, with fine views but a few hills.
Should I book ahead in summer?+
In July and August, yes. Electric bikes and kids bikes go first. Book a few days before you arrive if you can. There is no online payment: you send a request and we confirm availability within 24 hours.
Do you have kids bikes and child seats?+
